Optimal operation of multi-reservoir systems for increasing power generation using a seagull optimization algorithm and heading policy

Power supply is a key issue for decision-makers. The reservoir operation of multi-reservoir systems an important aspect to consider in efforts increase power generation. This research studies system comprising the Khersan-I (KHI), Karoon-III (KAIII) and Karoon-IV (KAIV) with intent being To achieve this, Two-Point Heading Rule was integrated new optimization algorithm, namely Seagull Optimization Algorithm (SEOA). used based on four distinct scenarios, (1), (2), (3) (4). then find two heading parameters TPHRs. subsequently benchmarked against Salp Swarm (SSA), Bat (BA) Shark (SOA). Various inflow scenarios consisting first scenario (dry condition), second (normal) third (wet condition) were considered optimal this system. results indicated that global solution MSOO NLP (1) under 3.22 while average Algorithm, respective order 3.25, 3.93, 4.87 6.03. 2.14 best 2.16, 2.98, 3.96, 4.89. It can be concluded SEOA outperformed all other algorithms. also found provided most generation KHI KAIV systems. A multi-criteria decision utilized choose algorithm policy. ensuing indicate had performance out algorithms scenario.
